Sequoia Leadership

Sequoia is led by a team of people who strive to pattern their lives and leadership after the New Testament model of elders and overseers. Additionally, Sequoia relies on a dedicated staff to serve the Sequoia community.


Jeff Finger - Worship Ministry Director 

Jeff Finger

A long time resident of San Francisco, Jeff has served as a teaching pastor and worship leader in the Bay Area for over 20 years. Presently he is teaching Geometry in the Math Department of Balboa High School in San Francisco’s Mission District. He has served several denominations (Nazarene, American Baptist, Presbyterian, and Covenant) in various locations (San Francisco, south Marin county and throughout the Peninsula). He has significant experience in building and developing music programs at churches both big and small. He enjoys Chicago style pizza, chocolate chip cookies and the Dallas Cowboys.




Hans Logie

Hans Logie  - Director of Operations

Hans oversees the administrative side of Sequoia--our staff, programs, facilities and finances. A lifelong member of Sequoia, he has served the church in many capacities, including his current tenure on the Board of Elders. After retiring from a 30+ year career in advertising, Hans joined the staff of Sequoia in 2016. He lives in San Carlos with his wife, Shannon.






Melissa ManskerMelissa Mansker - Adult Ministries Coordinator

Melissa serves Sequoia by providing organizational management and leadership for our various adult ministries. With over ten years of serving in different ministries, her desire is to bring the church body to the foot of the cross, setting aside their lives to spend intimate time with God. Melissa works for the city of Redwood City and lives in Hayward with her husband, Steven.





Ana Chestnutt - Flipt: Children's MinistryAna Chestnutt

Ana Chestnutt began attending Sequoia Church in 2010. Shortly thereafter she joined the Flipt Ministry as a teacher. In March 2015 She was asked to step into a leadership role. She agreed and began to be responsible for keeping the schedule for Sunday morning teacher assignments. She also became responsible for creating or seeking out curriculum for our Sunday School lessons.
Ana works as a substitute teacher and lives in San Carlos with her husband Tim.




Anna Junkerman

Anna Junkerman - Office Administrator

Anna manages the gears of the back office, supporting the various ministries of Sequoia, especially the various children's programs. As a grandmother, she has a true heart for young children and enthusiastically administers our Sunday morning toddler and nursery programs. Anna lives in San Mateo with her husband, John.





Former Pastors - Dan Parodi and Dennis Logie

Sequoia is also served by two former staff pastors who continue to be an active part of the church, providing key pastoral leadership to individuals and to the entire church community. Additionally, both Dan and Dennis are committed to the broader Mid-Peninsula through their work with several community-based service organizations. Dan currently works in the social impact sector as founder of Mill47 Coffee, a specialty coffee purveyor working to improve financial sustainability for coffee farming communities.
